Facebook has made
changes to it's privacy settings after feedback from it's user
base.
Some Facebook users were concerned about their privacy after Facebook made
changes earlier to the information that could be shared with third party
advertisers.
The concerns seemed to be around the opt-in nature to each individual
advertising third party relating to Facebook.
Facebook responded this week with changes that allowed for a broader privacy
setting with relation to these third parties.
The new Facebook privacy settings should go a long way go towards abating some
of the privacy concerns.
Privacy on the internet is especially of concern these days as people become
more connected, especially through social networking.
Many users these days are reluctant to provide too much personal information
with the amount of nefarious activities that can stem from the Internet, especially
Phishing.
Hence Facebook privacy settings need to be tight to address the concerns over
Internet privacy in general.
