Firefox users should
update to Firefox 3.5.6 for fixes including safer Firefox browsing with critical
security patches.
We always suggest user keep their software up to date with the latest security
releases, and browsers are especially important as they interact online so
regularly.
So when popular browser such as Internet Explorer and Firefox release a security
update, we believe it is very important to upgrade your browser software.
In the most recent announcement from Mozilla, Firefox has potentially critical
security flaws that should be addressed by the latest security update in Firefox
3.5.6
Whilst version 3.5.6 addresses many other issues, our primary concern is with
the security updates.
On the downside to updating Firefox, sometimes not all Firefox addons will work
with newer versions. Users should check this as they upgrade.
To check your current version of Firefox, most users can go to Help->About
Mozilla Firefox.
To check for updates manually, most users can go to Help-Check for Updates.
Firefox can be set to check for updates automatically, including Firefox
security updates, and we suggest users take note of this feature.
In the near future Firefox 3.6 will be released (out of beta) and users should
not confuse this with the Firefox 3.5.6 security update.
